Composition is the act of combining elements to create a whole. Sometimes my elements are the sweeping strings of an orchestral arrangement guided by the whimsy of the woodwinds. Sometimes they are the stories and sounds of the streets of New York City paired with the nostalgia of my childhood memories of the shores of the Great Lakes. Sometimes, it's the remembrance of timid school yard personalities encouraged by your peers to be braver than you were the day before.
Something really exciting happens when you encourage curiosity with supportive tools designed to activate generative exploration. We all know how to, I merely compose an environment where together we try, guided by sound, story, and collective rhythm.
